Since qualifying for their first Africa Cup of Nations in 2004, Benin have been fairly consistent performers on the international stage and have since qualified for a total of 4 AFCON tournaments. Their greatest achievement was in AFCON 2019, where they qualified for the quarter-finals after a shock victory against Morocco.
