United Arab Emirates 2024 Home (A. MABKHOUT #7) Jersey/Shirt

This is an Adidas United Arab Emirates national team 2024 home jersey featuring the name and number of star striker Ali Mabkhout.

The UAE national team achieved some success in the 1990s by qualifying for the 1990 World Cup and finishing second in the 1996 Asian Cup, however since then the team had struggled many years before rising again in 2015. This tournament saw them stun defending champions Japan in the Quarter-Finals with a victory on penalties before losing to eventual champions Australia in the semi-finals to finish in 3rd place. They followed this up with a 4th place finish as they hosted the 2019 Asian Cup, however since then their progress has been limited with the UAE struggling to replace their ageing golden generation from the 2015 era.

Ali Mabkhout has been the premier striker in the UAE since debuting for Al-Jazira in 2008 and has played the entirety of his club football at Al-Jazira. He was the league’s top scorer in the 2016-17 season with 33 goals in 25 matches and also won the Golden Boot at the 2015 AFC Asian Cup. In the 2020-21 UAE Pro League season, Makbhout once against won the league's golden boot award, scoring 25 goals for the season as Al-Jazira won the league title. He has 114 caps for the UAE national team and is their all-time leading scorer with 85 goals.
