South Sudan 2024 Home (#4- MAKER) Jersey/Shirt

£34.99

This is a Macron South Sudan national team 2024 home jersey featuring the number of star defender and captain Peter Maker.

The South Sudan national team played their first international match in 2012 and despite having almost no footballing infrastructure as well as a squad comprised of mostly players from the domestic league, they have shown considerable promise. South Sudan’s breakthrough achievement was reaching the Quarter-Finals of the 2015 CECAFA Cup, where they defeated Djibouti and Malawi in addition to drawing twice against Sudan who later knocked them out on penalties. With their youth teams displaying immense potential as well as a large number of professional players from their diaspora that could be called upon, the future looks bright for South Sudan.

Peter Maker is one of the star players in the current generation of South Sudanese football, with the towering centre-back playing a key role in the gradual improvement of the national team in recent years. Maker established himself with hometown side Al-Ghazal Wau, debuting for their senior team in 2015. He then moved to Juba-based club Amarat United in 2019 and eventually made his first move outside of the local league in 2021, joining Zambian giants Zesco United. Following two strong seasons in Zambia, Maker had brief stints with Serbian second tier club FK Radnički Sremska Mitrovica and UAE side Al-Dahra. In 2024, he signed with Kenyan Premier League club AFC Leopards. At international level, the 31-year-old has been a regular starter for South Sudan since his debut in 2018, with his 33 caps making him the third most-capped player in the short history of the national team.
