Mozambique 2024-25 Home (REINILDO #15) Jersey/Shirt

£34.99

This is a Lacatoni Mozambique national team 2024-25 home jersey featuring the name and number of star defender Reinildo Mandava.

Mozambique played their first international match on the day of their independence in 1975 and despite producing talented footballers, they have largely struggled to achieve any significant success in international football. The greatest footballer in Mozambique’s history was the legendary Eusébio, who was born and raised in Mozambique prior to their independence from Portugal and became one of the greatest players of his generation. Mozambique have never qualified for the FIFA World Cup, however they have competed in the Africa Cup of Nations on 5 occasions, although they have never made it past the group stage. They qualified for AFCON 2023, their first appearance at the tournament since 2010 and although they didn’t make it out of their group, they did perform well and managed to draw 2-2 against both Egypt and Ghana.

Reinildo Mandava is arguably the highest-profile Mozambican footballer of his generation, having had a prominent career playing in some of Europe’s top leagues. Mandava began his career with Ferroviário da Beira and GD Maputo before moving to Portugal in 2015 to join Benfica B. He had loan spells at AD Fafe and Sporting da Covilhã, and later played for Belenenses SAD. In 2019, he joined Lille in France, where he contributed to the team’s Ligue 1 title win in the 2020–21 season. In January 2022, Mandava transferred to La Liga giants Atlético Madrid, signing a contract until June 2025. Internationally, Mandava debuted for Mozambique in 2013 and has earned 49 caps, scoring four goals.
