Martinique 2017 Home (DELEM #8) Jersey/Shirt

£34.99

This is a Nike Martinique national team 2017 home jersey featuring the name and number of star midfielder Jordy Delem.

Despite not being a member of FIFA, Martinique are one of the strongest national teams in the Caribbean region, and as they are a CONCACAF member, they are eligible to participate in all competitions within the confederation. To date, Martinique’s greatest achievement was winning the Caribbean Cup in 1993, recording a shock victory against hosts Jamaica in the final. They also regularly qualify for the CONCACAF Gold Cup, with their best result in the tournament being a Quarter-Finals finish in the 2002 Gold Cup.

Jordy Delem is one of the highest-profile players in the current generation of Martiniquais football, with the 30-year-old having played the majority of his club football for MLS giants Seattle Sounders. Delem began his senior career with local club Club Franciscain in 2011 before moving to France to join Championnat National 2 side AC Arlésien in 2015. After a limited number of appearances in France, Delem joined the reserve side of the Seattle Sounders in 2016, where his impressive form earned him a contract with the first team 2017.  He was a key player for Seattle over much of his 5 seasons with the club, however a lack of playing time in the 2021 season led to Delem signing with USL Championship club San Antonio FC for the 2022 season.  He is one of the few players in the Martinique national team to play professionally overseas and Delem has been a key member of the squad since making his international debut in 2012. In 47 international matches, he has scored 7 goals and has represented Martinique in the CONCACAF Gold Cups in 2013, 2017 & 2019.
