This is a Puma Israel national team 2023 home jersey featuring the name and number of star winger Manor Solomon.

Israel’s national team played their first international match in 1948 and was one of the founding members of the Asian Football Confederation, where they competed from 1954 until being expelled in 1974. Following their expulsion from the AFC, Israel initially competed in UEFA World Cup qualification and later in the Oceania Football Confederation qualifiers before becoming full UEFA members in 1994. Since joining UEFA, Israel have predominantly been one of the minor nations within the confederation, having not qualified for the Euros or the World Cup during this period, however, have remained competitive and have been close to qualifying for the Euros on several occasions. Israel’s greatest period of success was in the 1960’s and 70’s, an era in which they qualified for the FIFA World Cup in 1970, as well as the Olympics in 1968 & 1976 in addition to winning the AFC Asian Cup in 1964.

Manor Solomon is one of the leading players in the current generation of Israeli football, with the 24-year-old being one of the few Israeli footballers to be playing their club football in a major European league. Solomon began his senior career with Israeli Premier League club Maccabi Petah Tikva, where he debuted in 2016 at the age of 17. After 2 ½ solid seasons in the local league, Solomon was signed by Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk in 2019 in a transfer worth an initial €6 million, then the fifth-highest transfer fee for an Israeli footballer. He developed further during his 3 ½ season spell in Donetsk, with the breakout of the war in Ukraine forcing him to move abroad and join English Premier League club Fulham on loan for the 2022-23 season. Solomon soon established himself in the Fulham squad, attracting the interest of clubs throughout Europe and following the end of his loan spell he signed a permanent deal with fellow EPL club Tottenham Hotspur in July 2023. At international level, Solomon has been a key member of the Israel squad since his national team debut in 2018 and has scored 7 goals in 37 matches for his country.
