This is a Saeta Haiti national team 2026 home jersey featuring the name and number of star striker Wilson Isidor.
Haiti has one of the longest football traditions in the region and were the second Caribbean team to make the World Cup, reaching the 1974 edition after qualifying from winning the 1973 CONCACAF Championship (the forerunner of the CONCACAF Gold Cup). Following this success, they failed to replicate this achievement, however they continued to be one of the strongest national teams in the Caribbean despite major instability in the country over the years. Since Haiti’s golden era of football in the 1970’s, where they finished runners-up twice in the CONCACAF Championship, in addition to their title win in 1973, they have made it out of the group stage at the Gold Cup four times since 2002. The national team made history in November 2025 by securing qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Haiti defeating their more-fancied opposition of Honduras and Costa Rica to finish at the top of their group despite having been unable to play any matches at home since 2021.
Wilson Isidor has established himself as one of Haiti’s leading footballers, with the powerful forward building an impressive career across France, Russia and England. Born in Rennes, France, to a Haitian father, Isidor developed through the Stade Rennais academy before joining Monaco, later enjoying spells with Laval and Bastia-Borgo before moving abroad with Lokomotiv Moscow in 2022. He subsequently joined Zenit Saint Petersburg, winning the Russian Premier League and Russian Cup in 2024, before moving to Sunderland later that year and helping the club secure promotion to the Premier League in 2025. After representing France at youth international level, Isidor committed his senior international future to Haiti in 2026 and quickly became an important figure for the Grenadiers. He represented Haiti at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and made history by scoring against Morocco, becoming the first Haitian to score at a World Cup since Emmanuel Sanon 52 years earlier.
