£29.99
This is an Umbro Guatemala national team home jersey as worn by ‘Los Chapines’ throughout the 2025 period.
Guatemala has a long history of international football and played their first international match in 1921. They have never qualified for a FIFA World Cup; however, they have competed at the Olympic Games football tournament on three occasions (in 1968, 1976 and 1988). Guatemala has had several periods of success over the years, with their greatest achievements being winning the 1967 CONCACAF Gold Cup in 1967 as well as the 2001 Copa Centroamericana title. They reached an all-time high FIFA ranking of 50 in August 2006, a period in which their golden generation led by Carlos Ruiz consistently achieved strong results. In recent years, Guatemala’s national team have been hindered by a FIFA suspension lasting from October 2016-May 2018, which prevented them from competing in any tournaments during this period. Their squad is largely comprised of players from the domestic leagues, except for some of their star players, which include Derby County winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing and 18-year-old striker Olger Escobar, who recently signed with MLS club CF Montréal.
