This is a Macron Georgia national team 2022 away jersey featuring the name and number of star winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Georgia’s national team played their first international match in 1990, at a time when they were still part of the Soviet Union. Following their secession in April 1991, Georgia then began to formalize their football system as an independent state and became a member of both UEFA & FIFA in 1992. They have competed at every World Cup and Euro qualification campaign since Euro 1996, however did not qualify for a major tournament until their historic breakthrough in 2024. They have maintained a competitive national team over the years and have shown significant progress in recent qualification campaigns, which culminated in their qualification for Euro 2024. To reach the tournament they had to face Greece in the final qualification play-off match and after a tense 0-0 draw they won on penalties in front of their home fans in Tbilisi. With a current squad containing a golden generation that play in some of Europe's top leagues, hopes are high that Georgia can continue on their remarkable development in the coming years.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (also known as ‘Kvara’) is widely regarded as one of the most talented players to emerge from Georgia in the modern era. The 23-year-old came through the youth system of Georgian powerhouse Dinamo Tbilisi, where he made his senior club debut in 2017. After being limited to 4 appearances at Dinamo, he joined fellow Georgian Erovnuli Liga club Rustavi for the 2018 season and impressed with 3 goals in 18 matches. The following season he moved to Russian Premier League club Lokomotiv Moscow on loan and then went on to sign permanently with Russian giants Rubin Kazan in July 2019. At Kazan, Kvara truly emerged as a top prospect in European football, becoming their star player in his 2 ½ seasons at the club. In March 2022, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and FIFA’s ruling that foreign players in Russia can unilaterally suspend their contracts, Kvara was allowed to leave Kazan and return to the Erovnuli Liga, signing with Dinamo Batumi for the rest of the season. He scored an impressive 8 goals in 11 matches at Batumi before signing with Serie A club Napoli in July 2022 for a fee of €10–12 million. He has continued his strong form with Napoli and further enhanced his growing reputation in European football. At international level, Kvara has won 29 caps and scored 15 goals since his international debut with Georgia in 2019.
