Curacao 2026 Away (CHONG #21) Jersey/Shirt

This is an Adidas Curacao national team 2026 away jersey featuring the name and number of star midfielder Tahith Chong.

Following the dissolution of the Netherlands Antilles in 2010, Curacao became a separate country and thus formed a new FIFA-recognised national team as a direct successor of the Antilles. Curacao have emerged in recent years as one of the strongest teams in the Caribbean region, however until recently their greatest achievement was winning the 2017 Caribbean Cup against regional giants Jamaica in the final. Everything changed for Curacao in November 2025 when they shocked the world by securing qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, becoming easily the smallest nation in history to qualify for the tournament. The Curacao squad is comprised almost entirely of players from the vast Curaçaoan diaspora in Europe, which is estimated to be almost equal to Curacao’s current population of 155,000.  

Tahith Chong is one of the most recognizable players in the current Curacao national team squad, with the 26-year-old most remembered for his stint with Manchester United, who he joined at the age of 16 in 2016. Regarded as one of United’s leading young prospects, he was a star in their youth team before making his senior debut in 2019 and going on to make 16 first-team appearances. Seeking regular senior football, Chong had loan spells with Werder Bremen in Germany, Club Brugge in Belgium and Birmingham City, where he established himself in the Championship before joining Birmingham permanently in 2022. He moved to newly promoted Luton Town in 2023 and became a regular during their 2023–24 Premier League campaign. In August 2025, Chong joined Championship club Sheffield United on a four-year contract. Internationally, he represented the Netherlands extensively from under-15 to under-21 level before switching allegiance to his birthplace, Curaçao, in 2025, subsequently becoming part of the national side that made history by qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He was the only player in the 2026 World Cup squad born in Curaçao, with all 25 of his teammates born on mainland Netherlands.
