Chad 2021-22 Home (#7- MARIUS) Jersey/Shirt

This is a Macron Chad national team 2021-22 home jersey featuring the number of star striker Marius Mouandilmadji.

The Chad national team have never qualified for a major tournament and haven’t achieved much success at international level, however recent results have been promising for Les Sao. Arguably the greatest achievement by the team was winning the 2014 CEMAC Cup title, defeating Congo 3-2 in the final of the Central African regional tournament. In April 2016, Chad reached their highest-ever FIFA ranking of 97 following a number of strong results including an historic victory over Egypt in November 2015. Unfortunately, administrative issues have prevented the further development of Chadian football in recent years, with the national team withdrawing from AFCON 2017 qualification due to financial problems and FIFA imposing a ban on Chad after the Chadian government dissolved the Chadian Football Federation in March 2021.

Marius Mouandilmadji is one of the most promising footballers to emerge from Chad in the modern era, with the towering striker having made an incredible journey from his hometown of Doba, a small city in southern Chad, to playing in some of Europe’s top leagues. Marius began his career with local club AS Douane Doba, where his immense potential led to him being signed by N'Djamena-based club Gazelle FC, one of the top clubs in Chad. After two seasons with Gazelle FC, Marius was signed by Cameroonian giants Coton Sport in 2018 and scored an incredible 18 goals in 24 matches, attracting the attention of a number of European clubs. In July 2018, he signed with Portuguese powerhouse Porto, however mostly played with the reserve side in his three seasons at the club. Due to his lack of playing time, Marius left Porto in 2021 and signed with Belgian top-tier club R.F.C. Seraing, where he has had 2 strong seasons before joining Turkish Süper Lig club Samsunspor in 2023. Marius has played 11 international matches for Chad since his debut in 2019 and is set to be the leading player of an exciting new generation of Chadian football for many years to come.
