This is an Umbro Central Coast Mariners 2018-19 home jersey featuring the name & number of athletics legend Usain Bolt, who briefly had a trial with the club and participated in a number of pre-season friendlies.

After the end of his incredible sprinting career, Usain Bolt made headlines for his interest in pursuing a career in professional football and was linked with a number of clubs throughout the world. He somehow made his way to the Central Coast Mariners, a Gosford-based club that competes in the A-League- the 1^st tier of football in Australia. He was offered a trial with the club and played in two pre-season friendly matches against lower league clubs. Both matches attracted huge crowds and hopes were high that Bolt would be signed for the upcoming season. Despite showing promising signs and even scoring twice in his 2^nd match, he was ultimately not offered a contract by the Mariners and as a result he ended his pursuit of a professional football career.
