£34.99
This is a Tovio Burkina Faso national team 2026 home jersey featuring the name and number of star winger Dango Ouattara.
Burkina Faso have always had a relatively strong national team since their debut international match in 1960, however in recent years they have started to establish themselves as one of Africa’s best. In AFCON 2013, after having previously made it past the group stage of AFCON only once, finished runners-up, losing the final to Nigeria. In the 2017 edition, they once again impressed, finishing third after defeating powerhouses such as Ghana and Tunisia. After surprisingly failing to qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, Burkina Faso returned to the tournament in 2021 and were the surprise of the tournament, reaching the semi-finals after knocking out Tunisia and Gabon. Burkina Faso have never qualified for the World Cup, however with a number of young players competing in Europe’s top leagues they will be looking to build on their recent achievements.
Dango Ouattara is one of the leading players in the new generation of Burkinabé football, with the 24-year-old having already established himself at the highest level of club football. He began his senior club career with Burkinabé Premier League club Majestic FC in his hometown of Ouagadougou in 2019 before moving to France in 2020 to join Lorient’s reserve side, who were competing in the fourth tier of French football. He quickly progressed to the first team of FC Lorient, making his Ligue 1 debut in the 2021–22 season and establishing himself as a dynamic, pace-driven wide attacker known for direct dribbling and work rate. His performances in France earned him a January 2023 transfer to AFC Bournemouth in the English Premier League, where he became a key part of the first-team in his 2 ½ seasons at the club. In August 2025, Ouattara joined fellow Premier League side Brentford for a club record fee of up to £42.5 million. Internationally, Ouattara has quickly become one of the most prominent players in the Burkina Faso squad since making his national team debut in 2021. He has scored 12 goals in 40 international matches for his country and is set to be one of their leaders as they seek a maiden FIFA World Cup berth in the coming years.
