This is an uhlsport ASAC Concorde 2017-18 home jersey featuring the number of star midfielder Abdou El Id.
ASAC Concorde are based in Nouakchott, the capital and largest city of Mauritania and were founded in 1979, making them one of the oldest clubs in the country. They have traditionally been amongst the strongest clubs in Mauritania, winning the league title in 2008 & 2017 and have producing many of the young players currently leading the rise of Mauritania’s national team. In recent years they have struggled to maintain this level of performance and were relegated after finishing 13th (out of 14) in the 2023-24 season.
Abdou El Id is one of many players to have emerged from ASAC Concorde and went on to having a solid club career overseas. The 26-year-old made his senior club debut with ASAC in 2017 and then moved to Spain in 2019, signing with CD Numancia B in the Tercera División. He has since had spells back in Mauritania with powerhouse club FC Nouadhibou, Albanian club FK Kukësi and currently plays for Libyan Premier Club club Al Ittihad Misurata SC. He featured in the national team squad at the 2018 African Nations Championship, where he made his international debut in their group stage match against Morocco.
