Amicale FC 2015-16 Home (#5- TANGIS) Jersey/Shirt

This is a Nike Amicale FC 2015-16 home jersey featuring the number of star striker Kensi Tangis.

Amicale FC were one of the strongest clubs in Vanuatu in the modern era and achieved great success both within Vanuatu as well as regionally in the OFC Champions League. Amicale (the French word for friendly) were founded in 1929 and were based in Vanuatu’s capital of Port Vila. They won the Port Vila Premier League title 6 times as well as the Vanuatu National Super Leauge title 4 times. Their 2009-10 Port Vila Football League title famously ended Tafea’s run of 15 consecutive league titles the league was established in 1994. On two occasions they reached the final of OFC Champions League (2011 and 2014) - losing both to Auckland City FC - and one semifinal in 2013. Amicale were forced to disband in August 2019 due to a fine of 6,000 Swiss francs imposed by FIFA in connection with the FIFA Transfer Matching System.

Kensi Tangis has been one of Vanuatu’s most consistent strikers throughout his career, having achieved success at both club and international level. He began his senior career with Amicale and has since played with Solomon Warriors in the Solomon Islands, AS Central Sport in Tahiti and most recently with Port Vila-based club ABM Galaxy. At international level, he has won 27 caps for the Vanuatu national team and scored 8 goals.
