This is an Admiral US Virgin Islands national team 2018-19 away jersey featuring the number of star midfielder and captain J. C. Mack.
Mack is one of the highest-profile players to represent the US Virgin Islands at international level and has had a noteworthy club career in a range of different leagues around the world. Mack began his career at MLS club Chicago Fire before moving to French third tier club Tourcoing for one season. He then returned to the US to play with USL club Charleston Battery in the 2011/12 season. Later in 2015 he made the move to Finnish club Ekenäs SC and then began a successful stint in Iceland, where he played for a range of clubs from 2016-2019. Most recently, Mack has had played for a range of clubs in New Zealand and Australia. Mack made his debut for the US Virgin Islands national team in 2018 and has instantly become one of the leading players, with his influence playing an important role in the recent improvement by the team.
With a population of just over 100,000 people and strong competition with American sports, the USVI national team have achieved little success in their history and are usually considered one of the weaker teams in the Caribbean region. With a squad comprised mostly of amateur-level players from the local league, they have experienced some heavy losses over the years, however with several of their top players now playing overseas, the team have improved in recent years and look destined to continue to rise in the near-future.
