This is a Janzi Uganda national team home jersey as worn by 'The Cranes' throughout the 2025-26 period.
Uganda has a long history in international football that dates back to the 1920s, when they competed in the early editions of the CECAFA Cup. Although they have always been a strong force in East African football, having won the regional CECAFA Cup more than any other national team, Uganda has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup. Their greatest achievement came up in 1970s, culminating in the runners-up finish in the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations final, where they lost to hosts Ghana. After a long absence from AFCON, the Cranes returned to the tournament in 2017 after a 39 year absence, and later qualified again for 2019 and 2025, reflecting renewed progress.
