This is an AMS Clothing Southern Cameroons prototype jersey representing Ambazonia, the self-declared state consisting of the Anglophone portions of Cameroon.
Southern Cameroons was the southern part of the British Mandate territory of British Cameroons in West Africa. Since 1961 it has been part of the Republic of Cameroon, where it makes up the Northwest Region and Southwest Region, however a push for independence has been active for several decades. In recent years, the independence movement has gained significant traction, largely as a result of growing human rights violations by the Cameroonian government, which led separatists in the Anglophone territories to declare the independence of Ambazonia in September 2017.
