Rwanda 2015 Home (TUYISENGE #9) Jersey/Shirt

£29.99

This is an AMS Clothing Rwanda national team 2015 home jersey featuring the name and number of star striker Jacques Tuyisenge.

Rwanda’s success at international level has been limited, with the national team only qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations once in 2004. At youth level, they qualified for the 2011 U-17 World Cup after finishing second at the 2011 African U-17 Championship. Other achievements for Rwanda include reaching the Quarter-Finals when they hosted the 2016 African Nations Championship and winning the 1999 CECAFA Cup, although technically this was won by the Rwanda ‘B’ team with their ‘A’ team finishing third.

Tuyisenge has been Rwanda’s leading striker in recent years, scoring a total of 15 goals in 58 international matches. He currently plays his club football with Rwandan club APR, having been signed from Angolan powerhouse Petro de Luanda. He also previously had a notable spell with Kenyan giants Gor Mahia, where he played a key role in their 2017 & 2018 league titles. The 31-year-old made his debut for the Amavubi in 2011 after impressing at local club Police FC and later signed for Gor Mahia after playing a starring role for Rwanda in the 2015 CECAFA Cup.
