Niger 2022 Home (#10- ADEBAYOR) Jersey/Shirt

£34.99

This is an Macron Niger national team 2022 home jersey featuring the number of star forward Victorien Adebayor.

Although they are one of the less-successful sides in the strong West African region, Niger’s national team have slowly begun to establish themselves since their maiden Africa Cup of Nations appearance in 2012. This was followed by another AFCON qualification in 2013 and as well as consistent performances in the African Nations Championship (CHAN), where they have qualified for 4 of the past 6 tournaments and incredibly finishing in 4th place overall in the 2022 edition after upsetting continental giants Cameroon and Ghana. Niger have also shown strong growth at youth level, with their U-17 national team reaching the knockout stage of the 2017 U-17 FIFA World Cup in their first appearance.

Victorien Adebayor is one of the most talented players to ever emerge from Niger and the 27-year-old has been a mainstay in the national team since debuting in 2015. He has scored 20 goals in 55 international matches and became the all-time leading scorer for Niger's national team in 2021, a remarkable achievement for someone of his age. After starting out in Niger’s Premier League with AS Douanes and AS GNN, he moved to Ghanaian top-tier club Inter Allies in 2018, where he established himself as one of the top strikers in the league, winning the league's golden boot award in the 2019-20 season. In October 2020 he was signed by Danish 2nd tier club HB Køge and was loaned out to Ghanaian side Legon Cities and Egyptian Premier League club ENPPI. Since then, Adebayor has had stints with Moroccan club RS Berkane, South African club AmaZulu and also a return to Niger with AS GNN in 2024.
