This is an Adidas Nepal national team 2016-17 home jersey featuring the name and number of star defender Rohit Chand.
Rohit Chand is arguably the greatest player in the history of Nepalese football and is the only player in his country’s history to play professionally outside of Nepal. He currently plays for Indonesian giants Persija Jakarta and was instrumental in guiding his club to the 2018 Indonesian Liga 1 title, being awarded the league’s MVP title for that season. He was the youngest player to represent Nepal when he made his debut as a 16-year-old in 2009 and since then he has played 73 international matches.
Nepal have rarely achieved much international success, however have seen a resurgence in recent years, culminating in winning the AFC Solidarity Cup in 2016 and reaching the semi-finals of the 2018 SAFF Championship.
