£29.99
This is an Errea Kuwait national team 2022 home jersey featuring the number of star striker Bader Al-Motawaa.
Kuwait have traditionally had a fairly strong football team despite having a population of only 4.5 million. They won the Asian Cup in 1980 and qualified for the World Cup in 1982 in addition to winning the Gulf Cup on 10 occasions. Recent years however have been more difficult for Al-Azraq with FIFA suspending the Kuwait Football Association three times since 2007 due to government interference in the national football association, including a nearly two-year ban starting in October 2015. They made a return to international football in 2017 when they hosted the 2017 Gulf Cup.
Bader Al-Motawaa has been a key member of the Kuwait national team squad since making his debut back in 2003. The veteran striker holds the record as Kuwait’s most-capped player, having played a total of 203 international matches and scored 57 goals. Al-Motawaa has spent almost his entire career at club level with Kuwaiti giants Qadsia SC expect for brief spells with Qatari club Qatar SC in 2007 and Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in 2011.
