This is a Puma Guinea national team 2025 home jersey featuring the name and number of star striker Serhou Guirassy.
The Guinea national team have a long history, having played their first international match in 1958. They have never qualified for a FIFA World Cup but have been a consistent force in African football, regularly performing strongly in the AFCON, where they reached the quarter-finals several times and were runners-up in 1976. The squad contains many players featuring in top European leagues and a maiden World Cup appearance is set to be on the horizon in the coming years.
Serhou Guirassy is the star player of the Guinea national team and has firmly established himself as one of the leading strikers in the Bundesliga in recent year. He began his youth career in France with USM Montargis and J3 Amilly before joining Stade Laval’s youth setup and making his professional debut in Ligue 2 in the 2013-14 season. After spells in France and Germany—including VfB Stuttgart where he set Bundesliga records—he joined Borussia Dortmund in July 2024 on a four-year deal. He was the top scorer in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League as he played a key role in Dortmund reaching the quarter-finals. Internationally, although he represented France at youth levels, he switched allegiance to Guinea in 2022 and has since scored 10 goals in 26 matches for the Syli National.
