This is an Adidas Gibraltar national team training jersey as worn by the team throughout the 2023-24 period.
The Gibraltar Football Association has been active since 1895, however the national team was not formally established until 1993, when Gibraltar competed at their first Island Games. Although Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and not technically a sovereign state, they were accepted as a UEFA member in 2013 and eventually accepted into FIFA in 2016 after initially being denied. The national team has gone from playing in non-FIFA competitions to now competing against some of the worlds’ strongest national teams and with a population of just 34,000 they are one of the weaker teams in UEFA. They have achieved some relatively strong results despite their tiny size, with their best result being a shock 1-0 away victory against Armenia in the 2018-19 UEFA Nations League. Gibraltar has also recorded wins against Malta, Latvia, Liechtenstein and San Marino.
