Al-Jazira compete in the UAE Pro League and are based in the UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi. The club were founded in 1974, however did not emerge as a force in UAE football until the late 2000s when they came under the ownership of Sheikh Mansour (also the owner of Manchester City). Al-Jazira are now one of the strongest clubs in the UAE and have won 2 league titles (in 2010-11 & 2016-17) as well as 3 UAE President’s Cups.
