Khor Fakkan compete in the UAE Pro League and are based in the city of Khor Fakkan, an exclave of the Emirate of Sharjah, located on the east coast of the UAE. The club was founded in 1981 and have largely moved between the first and second tiers of UAE football since then, winning the UAE First Division League (2nd tier) title on 6 occasions. The most recent First Division League title was in the 2018-19 season and saw Khor Fakkan return to the UAE Pro League after 10 seasons competing in the second tier. Other successes for the club have been winning the UAE Federation Cup in 1993-94 and finishing runners-up in the 1986-87 UAE President Cup.
Raphael ‘Dodo’ Guimarães joined Khor Fakkan for their 2019-20 UAE Pro League campaign and has been a key member of their squad throughout their return to the top tier. The 26-year-old Brazilian attacking midfielder began his senior career at Brasileirão giants Atlético Mineiro in 2013, however had limited first-team opportunities and was loaned out by the club on 5 occasions before signing permanently with Khor Fakkan in 2020.
