This is a Macron APR F.C. 2021 home jersey featuring the name and number of star striker Jacques Tuyisenge.

Armée Patriotique Rwandaise FC (usually referred to as APR) compete in the Rwanda Premier League and are based in Rwanda’s capital Kigali. The club was founded in 1993 as the team of the Rwandese Patriotic Front, the ruling political party in the country. Ever since the club was formed, they have been one of the strongest in Rwanda, winning the league title a record 22 times and also the Rwandan Cup a record 13 times. Since 2000 the club has won the league title in 19 out of 25 seasons, with rivals Rayon Sports being their only major challenger throughout this period. At continental level, APR regularly appear in the early stages of CAF competitions, however they have never achieved any notable success except for a semi-final finish in the 2003 African Winners’ Cup, where they defeated Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko in the quarter-finals.

Tuyisenge has been arguably the leading striker in Rwandan football in recent years and has proved himself at club level with some of Africa’s largest clubs. He began his career in Rwanda in 2009 with Kiyovu Sports and later Police FC before signing with Kenyan giants Gor Mahia after playing a starring role for Rwanda in the 2015 CECAFA Cup. He spent four seasons with Gor Mahia and was a vital part of the squad that won 3 league titles during this period. In 2019 he signed with Angolan powerhouse Petro de Luanda on a lucrative deal, however returned to Rwanda in November 2020 to join APR. The 32-year-old made his debut for Rwanda in 2011 and has scored a total of 16 goals in 59 international matches, ranking him as the 2nd all-time leading goalscorer in the history of the national team.
