This is an Adidas Lesotho national team 2017-18 away jersey featuring the number of star striker Sera Motebang.

Sera Motebang has emerged as one of Lesotho’s most promising footballers in recent years and the 27-year-old has played a crucial in the recent success of the national team. Motebang made his international debut in 2016 and has since played 46 international matches, scoring 10 goals. At club level, until 2019 he played his entire club career with Lesotho Premier League side Matlama FC, a club noted for producing many Lesotho’s top players through their youth system. After impressing at Matlama, Motebang signed with South African top tier club Bloemfontein Celtic prior to the 2019-20 season. 

Although they have never qualified for a major tournament, Lesotho have been increasingly competitive in recent years. The team affectionately known as the Likuena (Crocodiles) reached an all-time high FIFA ranking of 105 in 2014 after a number of solid results. They have consistently troubled far-more fancied opponents, with recent victories against Tanzania and Zimbabwe demonstrating the competitiveness of the team. Lesotho have achieved these results with a team almost completely comprised of players from their domestic league, however with a number of players beginning to join South African clubs, hopes are high that results will continue to improve and qualification their first Africa Cup of Nations may be on the way in the near future.
