Azam FC compete in the Tanzania Premier League and have established themselves as one of the strongest clubs in Tanzania since being founded in 2007. Azam FC are the sporting club of Tanzanian company Azam, who operate throughout East Africa predominantly in the industries of food production and media. Their financial support of the club has allowed Azam to have the top facilities and youth academy in the region, which have played a major role in Azam FC winning the Tanzanian Premier League title in 2014 and also the Kagame Cup titles in 2015 & 2018.
