Al-Sadd are based in the Al-Sadd district of the city of Doha and compete in the Qatar Stars League. They are the most successful club in Qatari football history, having won the league title a record total of 14 times as well as the Emir Cup a record total of 16 times. They have also won the AFC Champions League twice- in 1988-89 & 2011 and have produced some of Qatar’s greatest footballers.
