This is a Puma Al-Hilal 2023-24 home jersey featuring the name and number of star forward Neymar Júnior.

Al-Hilal are the most successful club in Saudi Arabia, having won the Saudi league title a record 18 times and the Crown Prince Cup on 13 occasions. They have also won a record 4 AFC Champions League trophies (in 1991, 2000, 2019 & 2021) confirming their status as arguably the top club in the region. Al-Hilal are one of the most supported clubs in the Middle East and have a passionate supporter base, with matches against local rivals Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr being fiercely contested battles amongst both players and fans. After recently experiencing heartbreak in the AFC Champions League, finishing runners-up in both 2014 & 2017, they finally succeeded in winning their breakthrough title victory in 2019, when they defeated Japanese club Urawa Red Diamonds 3-0 on aggregate. Al-Hilal followed up this success in the 2021 AFC Champions League, winning the final 2-0 against Korean side Pohang Steelers. Al-Hilal were one of the four Saudi clubs to come under the control of the country’s Public Investment Fund in 2023, with the enormous level of funding allocated to each club leading some of the world’s top footballers moving to the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Hilal signing stars such as Neymar, Rúben Neves, Malcom, Aleksandar Mitrović and Kalidou Koulibaly.

Neymar is widely regarded as one of the world’s best players in the modern era as well as one of the best Brazilian players of all time. The 31-year-old rose to prominence at Brazilian club Santos, where he debuted for the senior team 2009 at the age of 17 and quickly became one of the most promising young players in world football. After an incredible 4 seasons with Santos, in which Neymar scored 107 goals in 177 matches and the club won 3 league titles, he signed with La Liga giants Barcelona for a fee that was later revealed to be €86.2 million. In his 4 seasons at Barcelona, Neymar established himself as one of the world’s best players and played a key role in the club’s 2014-15 Champions League title as well as an additional 2 La Liga titles. In August 2017, Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of €222 million, comfortably the most expensive transfer of all-time and a figure that is unlikely to be equaled for many years to come. Despite the club winning the league title in 5 of his 6 seasons at PSG, Neymar’s spell in France was often hampered by injury issues and although the scored 82 goals in 112 league matches, the club’s failure to win an elusive Champions League title was viewed as a major disappointment considering their huge spending on player signings. In August 2023, Neymar joined Saudi giants Al-Hilal for a fee of €90 million, with the transfer seen as a massive coup for the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Hilal outbidding several major European clubs to secure his signing. At international level, Neymar has scored 79 goals in 126 matches for Brazil and is their all-time leading goalscorer as well as the 2nd most-capped player in their rich history.
