Al-Hilal are the most successful club in Saudi Arabia, having won the Saudi league title a record 18 times and the Crown Prince Cup on 13 occasions. They have also won a record 4 AFC Champions League trophies (in 1991, 2000, 2019 & 2021) confirming their status as arguably the top club in the region. Al-Hilal are one of the most supported clubs in the Middle East and have a passionate supporter base, with matches against local rivals Al-Ittihad and Al-Nassr being fiercely contested battles amongst both players and fans. The 31-year-old winger has spent his entire club career with Al-Hilal, expect for a brief loan spell at La Liga club Villareal prior to the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Since debuting for the Al-Hilal senior team in 2011, he has won 4 league titles and 2 AFC Champions League titles, with Al-Dawsari being awarded the tournament MVP award for the 2021 AFC Champions League. He is most known for scoring the second goal for Saudi Arabia in their shock 2-1 victory against eventual winners Argentina at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, with his miraculous finish being one of the goals of the tournament. Al-Dawsari has scored 19 goals in 72 matches for the Saudi national team since his international debut in 2012 and his 3 World Cup goals makes him the joint top-scorer for Saudi Arabia at the World Cup, alongside Saudi legend Sami Al-Jaber,
