This is a Joma Muras United 2023 home jersey featuring the number of star defender Veniamin Shumeyko.

Muras United are based in Jalal-Abad and compete in the Kyrgyz Premier League, the top tier of football in Kyrgyzstan. Jalal-Abad is the administrative and economic center of the Jalal-Abad Region in southwestern Kyrgyzstan with a population of around 123,000 and is located near the border with Uzbekistan. The club’s home ground is the Central Stadium in Jalal-Abad, which is one of the few in the country that meets AFC standards, however had not been used for regular top-tier football until the newly-formed Muras United were promoted to the Premier League for the 2023 season. Since being promoted, Muras United won the 2023 Kyrgyzstan Cup, defeating local giants Abdysh-Ata to secure the club’s first-ever major trophy.

Veniamin Shumeyko is the most notable member of the current Muras United squad, with the 34-year old center-back having played his club football in a number of leagues throughout Asia. Shumeyko has had stints with Chennai City in India, UiTM Shah Alam in Malaysia, Bình Dương FC in Vietnam and Persikabo 1973 in Indonesia, as well as with leading Kyrgyz clubs Abdysh-Ata Kant, Alay Osh and Alga Bishkek. At international level, Shumeyko has 3 caps for the Kyrgyzstan national team, limited to single appearances in 2011, 2012 & 2014.
