Guadeloupe 2019-20 Home (#9- BEAUVUE) Jersey/Shirt

£29.99

This is a Nike Guadeloupe national team 2019-20 home jersey featuring the number of star winger Claudio Beauvue.

Claudio Beauvue is one of the most prominent footballers to represent Guadeloupe in recent history, with the 31-year-old having had a prolific club career in France and Spain. After coming up through France’s Ligue 2, Beauvue got his break in 2013 when he joined Ligue 1 club Bastia. He then moved to fellow Ligue 1 club Guingamp, where he spent two impressive seasons and caught the attention of French giants Olympique Lyon. He played for Lyon for just one season before moving to Spanish La Liga club Celta Vigo and later to current club Deportivo La Coruña. Beauvue made his long-awaited international debut for Guadeloupe in 2016, when he played for his country of birth in a Gold Cup qualifier against Suriname.

Guadeloupe is a member of CONCACAF, however is not a FIFA member and therefore unable to enter World Cup qualifiers. They do have a relatively successful record at CONCACAF level, most notably finishing fourth at the 2007 Gold Cup and reaching the Quarter-Finals of the 2009 Gold Cup. Many of France’s most famous footballers are of Guadeloupean descent, including Lilian Thuram, Thierry Henry, Nicholas Anelka and Sylvain Wiltord, however as they are not a FIFA member, it is an obvious choice for players to choose to represent France if given the opportunity.
